Staying damp

Tomasz was back on telly today, and his caption said: "Staying damp", perhaps appropriate for many a devoted Schaffanatic. Or at least that's what it ought to have said...



I can only imagine Tomasz's caption writer is so excited by Tomasz's chuckle at the beginning, (s)he had a case of sausage fingers.



At the end of the News At One forecast, Tomasz wanted to "end on a positive note". His mere presence is a positive note of course, especially when he talks of showers "flirting" with us us, or the rain "coming and coming and splashing". And is it me, or does his suit struggle to contain his biceps these days?

Meanwhile Alex Deakin answered an oft-posed question, why do weather presenters wear casuals for Countryfile and Country Tracks? According to Deaks, is "to be down with farmers"! It appears that Janice {i} appreciated Alex's black jeans too. Of course when Tomasz wears jeans, a whole swathe of discerning gentlemen appreciate it-- some of which may be farmers.

Alex Deakin then informed us that his intials are ARD. I'll leave you to make your own jokes. Meanwhile will Tomasz make an appearance on Country Tracks?

Finally it's not just our Tomasz not has on-air mishaps on BBC News, Louise Minchin got all in a fluster over a.... dropped pen.

Flirting with the south coast

I noticed on Country Tracks today, that Ben Fogle was going for the snuggly-fitting jeans look-- but of course he was no match for The Schaf!

Tomasz sporting a fine pair of denims today for the five-day forecast, with glistening buttons which caught the eye; conspicuous because the strain they were under, no doubt [wink]. He generously turned sideways to the screen plenty of time, giving us a nice view; just to prove I was paying attention to the Tomasz's report, it was the wettest November on record {i}.

Tomasz had a nice T-shirt today too, with an interesting-looking logo. Sadly we couldn't see what it was, or if it had any holes in it; he was wearing a white fleece-style garment over it, which both complimented and complemented his physique-- plus we got a cute smile at the end. Oh you do know how to treat us Mr Schafernaker, in these gloomy late-autumn days...



I love the way he talks about showers flirting with the south coast. Just for balance, Tomasz looking dashing in a suit and leaving us embued with optimism. The man is priceless!

Rememberance Sunday today, so no Country Tracks: However Tomasz got his own slot today {i}, he was namechecked by the continuity announcer-- nothing but special attention for our Tomasz!

It was the five-day forecast, albeit with Tomasz in a smart suit. I got slightly excited when he talked about "showers flirting with the coast [of Northern Ireland]". Imagine Tomasz flirting with you. Hmm... yes... oh you want to see the clip don't you? Alright then...

News At One Bromance

Simon McCoy and Tomasz: I have talked of their banter in the past, and they have long had their "Cissy & Ada" brand of persiflage in the past; Simon usually making some obtuse comment, prompting Tomasz to make some droll and giggling comment in return.

However their badinage today was borderline flirting, I swear. During the last report of News At One, they had clearly been whispering sweet nothings to each other [Wink #1]




"I'll see you outside" eh? Whatever for? Get a room! [Wink #2]

Never mind Cissy & Ada: It was more the way Larry Grayson used to tease his pianist on his show-- rest his soul. I can hear Lal now: [Purses lip and arches eyebrow] "I said *pianist*, what a common audience. What a gay day, shut that door, look at muck in here" etc...



Anyway, no doubt when Simon and Tomasz appear together, we'll have Simon calling Tomasz "big boy" and The Schaf calling Simon "a tease" in return. It's only a matter of time [wink #3].
